In collaboration with Saichuang Weilai Venture Capital Investment Management Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang) and Lucheng local government, Techbridge Ventures will be organizing the 2020 Lucheng Digital Economy Global Entrepreneurship Competition. 

The Challenge is open to all Start-ups, SMEs, and Researchers located outside China, with technology innovations from the following strategic industries of Lucheng:

  • Big Data
  • Internet of Things
  • Blockchain
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Digital Entertainment
  • Game Development
  • Cloud Computing
  • Smart City

Participants in the Competition will have the opportunity to pitch their technologies to Lucheng government officials and industries over a video conference call in late August (date is to be confirmed). Each team will have 7 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A with the judges from Lucheng. Support for translation will be provided where necessary.

Selected teams will be awarded a fully sponsored trip to Lucheng, Wenzhou in October or November* to meet local industry collaborators and participate in the Grand Finals, where they will represent Singapore to compete against teams.

Techbridge can also facilitate and support participants to connect to the local market if they are selected in the Grand Finals.


Lucheng District, located in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is the political, economic, cultural and commercial center of Wenzhou. It is a city full of vibrant business activities. It’s also known as the birthplace of China's private economy. Its GDP reached US$90.63 billion in 2018, and the per capita disposable income for urban residents is the among the highest in China.
